Them Crooked Vultures

I've been hearing a huge buzz about this band lately called Them Crooked Vultures. The band features Led Zeppelin's bass player John Paul Jones, Nirvana's drummer David Grohl, and the singer/guitarist from the Queens of the Stone Age, Josh Homme. I think they sound rockin'! What do you think?

I've given their debut album a listen or two. I like it but I'm still a little underwhelmed. That could change. Their debut seems like it's going to be a "grower" (one of those albums that doesn't grab me initially but grows on me over time). It wouldn't be the first time that's happened.

This is a really solid disc. They are creating for the right reasons and overall it doesn't sound mechanical. I look forward to spending more quality time with it in headphones.
