The Wheary Lights

A long running tradition here in Racine, is to see the Wheary Lights at the zoo. I remember seeing these lights (the waterfall) when I was a kid. My folks use to drive my sister and I to the north side (where I live now) to see this spectacular display of lights. Back then, they were displayed at George Wheary's place in a residential area. 25 years ago, the lights where donated to zoo. Since then the zoo added on some pieces to to the display.

The waterfall stands 24 feet tall and uses over 2,000 bulbs.
