Packers Week # 12

The Green Bay Packers lost to the Atlanta Falcons this afternoon in this nail biter of a game 20-17.

Here are my thoughts of the game:

Both teams played well on both sides of the ball, they were evenly matched.
It felt like I was watching a playoff game.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers fumbled on a QB sneak into the end zone-the first Packer turnover in 15 quarters.
Atlanta's kicker Matt Bryant made the winning field goal with 9 seconds left.

The Packers are now 7-4 and are still in the race for the playoffs. It didn't help that the Bears beat Philly today.

More on the game here.

I was happy to see both my Browns and Bears win. The Browns played half of a good football game (they led 21-7 at the half) only to squander it in the 2nd half of the game and ALMOST ended up losing. They had Carolina at THEIR 5 yard line with 1 minute 5 seconds and no timeounts left. Somehow Carolina got into Field Goal range. But Karsay flubbed a 42 yarder that just missed the uprights allowing Cleveland to win 24-23.

As for the Bears. Their D was dominating in the first half. That turnover nearly broke Philly's back. And then Chicago's offense held the ball for 12 minutes in the third. I think their D got a bit complacent as a result as Philly nearly did come back to win in the 4th. That onside kick that the Bears caught... phew that was close! If Philly had caught that last onside kick I have little doubt that Vick could have led a scoring drive to win the game.
Peyton Hillis was once again the star with over 100 yards and 3 touchdowns!
