Wildfires Spread in California
This is getting really scary for me. I have a very special friend who lives in California and I worry about her. To think about it even more, I was there looking at this sign last July. With my heart being out there, I shudder at the thought of things I saw and enjoyed out there being burned down. Not too mention many lives and properties are at wrath of these wildfires. I pray for some relief to come soon.... Here's the latest news
Thank You
SHE'S GONE! :(
Somewhere over the heart of America, she's on her way home. I'm sad, yet I'm happy...Happy for the both of us. We've made vows and commitments to each other. The ones that'll last a lifetime. I hope to see her again, soon. I miss her already...

Swan Song
One of my favorite places to go to get away is Up North. It's a peaceful and tranquil place out in the boondocks in northern Wisconsin. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A place to go fishing, hunting, four wheeling in woods, snowmobiling, and other outdoor activities. Here's a song about it...Swan Song
The lofty trees of green
Go far as eyes could see
Sun is held high at noon
Summer can't go too soon
Oh, you're so fine dear girl
Oh, can't we find a thrill?
The shines through your hair
Through breezes in the air
In the woods there is a fawn
An early sign of dawn
The birds sing in the trees
Because they're only free
In the lake a swan swims
Sun comes out from the dim
A bird chirp breaks the hush
There is no need to rush
Birds flying in the air
I just stood there and stared
Sun ripples on the lake
It's wonders the Lord can make
Light colors the lake blue
Colors in the eyes of hue
Overhead a hawk screams
I must be in a dream...
The sun draws to the west
Baby, I'll do my best
To give all that I can
For promise of a man
Butterflies you can chase
I know you love this place
The sun may go away
For another dawn we'll stay.....

Help Support the Fibromyalgia Cause
Fibromyalgia is a condition that wreaks hovak on the mind and the body. Its a condition where pain is a constant thing. A feeling of arthritis that doesn't go away. It's a terrible feeling to have.
Fibromyalgia often goes undiagnosed. A lot of that has to do with the lack of knowledge of it. There are no tests. Just some questions from a doctor.
A very close and personal friend was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about six years ago. She has been living in pain for about ten years. That's a long time for being in pain. I can see it in her eyes when she's feeling the pain. And it hurts me too.
After seeing her in so much pain, I decided to do some research on this. I've read some various websites on this subject. Most importantly several things she told me:
Be understanding, this is an invisible condition so a person may look "fine" but be in a lot of pain or totally fatigued. The person with fibromyalgia often has a forgetful memory, so try to be understanding of this too.
Offer to do anything that may lighten their load, carry something, run an errand etc.
Be patient and supportive. Often the person with fibromyalgia also feels guilty or bad for no longer being the fun and energetic person they once were.
Remember that there are good days and bad days. Take advantage of good days but keep in mind that sometimes people with Fibro do too much on a good day and pay the price later.
Knowing all this, I can be more supportative to those I love... So if you know anyone with fibromylaglia, please be supportative...

Tide Pools
When the ebbing tide retreats
Along the rocky shoreline
It leaves a trail of tidal pools
In a short-lived galaxy
Each microcosmic planet
A complete society
A simple kind mirror
To reflect upon our own
All the busy little creatures
Chasing out their destinies
Living in their pools
They soon forget about the sea..
It's an abstract view of life. We all are own little galaxies... Chasing our dreams, hopes, and desires. Sometimes alone, sometimes with someone... hoping. Searching ourselves and searching our worlds....Reaching out. Life is the grand design...always something new around the corner.

More Micheal Jackson Controversy
I'm not a huge fan of Micheal Jackson. It's seems so that controversy follows him everywhere even after his death. Here's the lastest. What appalls me the most the doctors treatment for insomnia! What you think?

Honey and Spice Chicken
Summer is here and it's beautiful day! There is nothing like the taste of good ol' cookin' off the grill! I love cooking on the grill! Give me a spatula, a pair of tongs, and an ice cold brewski and I'm rarin' to go! You kill it-I grill it!
One of my favorite recipes is my legendary honey and spice chicken. It's pretty easy to do.

Dance to the Piper
Here's one of my favorite songs/poems I wrote many years ago. Called Dance to the Piper. Enjoy!
I filled my seasons with emotions
They all came together again
My love starts to bloom once again
It's hard to realize winter's gone
Come baby, come live with me
Let's sit down and have a smile
Don't you realize it babe
It's just only you and me
When the piper's call to lead the way
Then we shall turn to his way
Don't you know the hardest part
Is loving you?
What is it to lead us to reason
And what do we really know?
So please lady come and join me
To be together once again
Through tress full of color
We followed the piper's call
As the wind whistles in the trees
We be on our forever journey....
The snow is falling
Life's cold and barren
The street's seem empty
How can love be here?
Let me tell you babe
It's from me to you
Just look and you'll find
That path towards love
Heard a voice in the wind
It calls me back home to you...
When the piper calls
He has a reason...

Kiss to Release a New Album
Today, heavy metal rock band, Kiss announced the release of their new album of new material in 11 years. Their new album "Sonic Boom" is too be released at Wal-Mart only on October 6.
I think it's great that Kiss is putting out a new album. What I don't get, is why would any band subject to selling their product in one chain of stores only? Too me, the wider the range, the better the chances of selling a product. Bands like the Eagles, AC/DC, and Foreigner have done this already. All with lackluster sales. I prefer to go to a Best Buy and buy a CD from there where selections are larger and better. But why at just at Wal-Mart? Can anybody explain this?

Counting On a Miracle
A very special friend of mine shared me this cool video! Yep,strange it may seems, I do believe in miracles!
Let me share a story with you. I once had a cat that gave birth to to some kittens in my closet. One the kittens almost died there at birth. He wasn't even breathing... Not wanting to give up, I picked up the little kitten and I held it. Stroked it back to life. A year later, he is alive and well.

Some Rambling Thoughts on Fear
I had a conversation with a friend, recently that got me thinking. We never finished this conversation, but since then, I began analyzing it a little. Fear. We all have our fears, phobias, and other things that we are unsure about. As I was thinking about it, I had more questions than answers. Here is what I came up with.
Can our certain fears keep us from being happy and just being content with ourselves?
Can our fears make us take the easy way out?
Are we really happy out just content with the situation?
How do we overcome our fears?
There is no easy answer to these questions, just some provoking thoughts.
The fear of being uncertain can drive us from happiness. Is it that a reason why we are often content with our boring lives? All I know is, bigger the risk, the greater the rewards are and comes with it a bigger loss. Can we tear down the wall?

Storms
Today some severe storms swept through the area, bringing deadly lightning, torrential rain, and wind gusts up to 80 mph. I love watching storms. The power and the fury of Mother Nature always have amazed me. The mind wonders of the mysterious forces behind these storms. The beauty of it's power...
The bad side is-I lost power twice, internet connection, and got a flipping swamp in my backyard.
Now excuse me while I reset my clocks...

Turning the Pages
I've now have closed a chapter in my book of life. One that I will always remember and cherish. One that I'll treasure with my heart. I've learned many new things and experienced happiness that I never experienced. But life moves on and so will I. It's difficult to know what the future will bring. The crystal ball is cloudy right now. Two things are clear to me right now. I want look forward to new experiences and not look back at an old lifestyle.

Will Only the Strong Survive?
Here's my anti-war song that I wrote many years ago. I still like it.
Will Only the Strong Survive?
The all in lost integrity
Will the blind man again see?
Lost his blue eyes to the flame
Oh are the guns to blame?
The sight of staving millions
With death their only vision
All the warheads kissed the sky
Warlords let out their battle cry...
Will the reaper claim his toll
On the seeds that have been sown?
Will only the strong survive
Or will we must surely die?
The mad policitions's dream
Is a young man's scream
Tears fall from the young man's eyes
Did he really want to die?
Bodies lie on the ground, torn in two
Madmen have their guns pointed right on you
Out of the streets, the dirt and grime
Guns in their hands, this ain't no crime - (or is it?)
We are all victims of certain circumstances
Our fates lie whenever we take our chances
Backs against the wall, kicked in the face
Another victim of the human race
We all are children of our mother's birth
When will the meek shall inherit the earth?
Destroy ourselves and our mothers cry
Just to watch her children die...
As the soldiers dance on the landmines
Politicions says this land is mine
Dead soldiers bathe in their own blood
A feast for the scavengers who would
The murder victim's screams pay no heed
The starving children hold there hands out in need
Dieing soldiers fall screaming in agony
Is this what their mothers wanted to see?
Will only the strong survive
Or we must surely die?
I know it's a bit morbid, but I can't stand the senseless acts of violence....

Life's Tests
Why life have to be so hard? Sometimes it seems that you found happiness that there a wall in your path. A wall blocking an easy route to true happiness. I'm beginning to think these walls are tests of life. Tests of faith, love, trust, strength, endurance, and the list goes on and on.
I think tests can determine the character of a person. A person can walk up to wall they see and make a choice. They can chose to take a different path or tear down the wall. Life is about choices. The choices we make wither good or bad can affect ourselves, our families and our lives. The problem is, we don't know what the future holds for us. No crystal ball or tarot cards. Just faith.
Each test can be challenge. A challenge that sometimes can reap many rewards and happiness. Sort of like struggling to ace a math test. You feel great when that happens. A rewarding feeling well earned. A wall torn down. As I'm struggling through my challenges, I'm praying for the best outcome...
This song, a personal favorite, is about challenges...

Local Bands
Going to a major concert can be real expensive and sometimes a hassle. Spending an arm and leg to travel a couple of hours to hear some live music. With the local scene, it can be in your backyard for a minimal cover charge or free! These are some of many reasons why I like to support the local scene.
One my favorite local bands is Mean Jake. They play a hard edged blues rock that you can dance to. They can rock your world with tunes like Van Morrison's Gloria, CCR's Suzi Q, Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire and my personal fave - a blistering version of Sympathy for the Devil by the Stones. These guys are no frills and all rock.
So what local bands you support and why?
